In 1998 the Ulster Place-name Society received funding to put together a touring exhibition called “Celebrating Ulster’s Townlands/Place-names”. The exhibition included place-name links with the rest of Ulster/Ireland and across the Irish Sea with Scotland, England, the Isle of Man, and North Wales.

This souvenir brochure introduces the subject of place-names and links chosen place-names with the landscape, natural history, geography, archaeology, mythology, history, map-making, Irish & English languages, families, local customs, and folklore.
